Cole World delivers the goods

As he did on his three critically acclaimed mixtapes, J. Cole begins his long anticipated studio album, "Cole World: The Sideline Story," with an intro that serves as a tone setter and mission statement. Over the sounds of a subtle piano complimented by a slow driving bass Cole weaves a poem of sorts centered on where he's been, where he is goin, and what the listener is in store for.

As the semester progresses, events at UAlbany are always happening. Many students in particular look forward to the annual event, FallFest and this year is no different. On Nov. 12, FallFest will feature the bands LMFAO and Far East Movement. LMFAO considers themselves an "electro hop" duo, from Los Angeles.

On a suddenly cold night in Saratoga Springs, a crowd of twenty-somethings gathered for a night of nostalgia. Matt & Kim, My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 performed an electric show Friday evening at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. With the sun still up, dance-punk duo Matt and Kim hit the stage.

LarkFest sets the stage for burgeoning music scene

Walking up the congested midway of the quasi-circus that is LarkFest, situated near the epicenter in the cacophony of the crowd of Lark Street, sat the Silent Disco. At any given moment, between 12:00-8:00 p.m., for $5, participants could hear two DJ's through a pair of two-channel wireless headphones, with the option to switch between musicians at will.
